CYCLUS TOOLS Professional cutting and milling tool for cleaning ITAL thread bottom bracket shells and milling the surface of the bottom bracket shell faces.
After you have recut the thread, the internal cutting part of the tool is quickly disengaged and the face milling tool then comes into use. You do not need to re-clamp the tool and a 100% parallel face of the bottom bracket shells is then guaranteed.
. cuts the thread of the bottom bracket and faces the shell in one action without changing tools
. saves space, time and money, as only one tool is needed
. two part tool which insert together, provides an exact guide to cut parallel faced shells
3 steps:
1. Cut the bb thread
2. Disconnect the cutting tool
3. Face bb shells
Note:
Face milling of shell faces is an absolute must to ensure bottom brackets with externally mounted cups and bearing races (for example, for Campagnolo Ultra Torque, Shimano Hollowtech II) sit exactly parallel in the frame.
Please note: Letters on the tool always refer to the tool. I.e. if an "R" is applied to one side, then this is a classic thread with the direction of rotation to the right - clockwise. If an "L" is applied, the direction of rotation is to the left - counterclockwise.
It does not refer to the side of the bicycle, because there is no fixed reference system here!
